"Already Lost Your Job": JJ McCarthy Mocked By Fans Over Latest Wolverines Remark

Former college football National Champion, JJ McCarthy, is catching some heat from fans during the NFL offseason. Interestingly, he wasn't even talking about football!

McCarthy posted on X (formerly Twitter) and captioned it “Utter domination.”

This comes after the Michigan Wolverines men’s basketball team reached the national championship game under head coach Dusty May in the NCAA March Madness Tournament.

The Michigan Wolverines men’s basketball team scored 90+ points in five straight games in a single March Madness tournament and were the first team to do so. Dusty May’s men will take on Dan Hurley and the University of Connecticut (UConn) for the championship.

As a former Michigan star, McCarthy is following the team's run. In his three seasons at Ann Arbor, McCarthy passed the football for 6,226 yards and had 49 touchdowns.

The former 10th overall pick was named Rose Bowl Offensive MVP in 2024. However, his transition to the NFL has faced scrutiny, which is what fans focused on.

How Are the Fans Reacting to This?

An Ohio State fan (Michigan’s fiercest rivals) made it clear to McCarthy and said, “You already lost your job in the NFL (laughing emoji)”, referring to the fact that McCarthy will not be the Vikings' starting QB moving forward.

That's because Kyler Murray signed with the Vikings, and this fan is making himself clear on how he feels about JJ McCarthy. That meant another fan added:

“Who are you? You just got replaced by a 5’10 QB, you had Addison and Jefferson, and still s*****.”

Another fan said, “And they did it without cheating…,” referring to the sign-steal scandal in the 2023 season, where Michigan went on to win the National Championship.

Interestingly, this isn't the only sport McCarthy showed an interest in. The QB made an appearance at the Yankees' home game against the Marlins. That's why one fan commented:

“Stop watching basketball and get on the practice field. We need you next season.”
