Big Ten quarterback earning $5 million in NIL signs deal with Nike

Quarterback Dante Moore is already one of the highest-paid players in college football. Nike just made the partnership official.

The athletic brand shared the list on its official website, which includes Dante Moore (quarterback, Oregon), Trinidad Chambliss (quarterback, Ole Miss), and Cam Coleman (wide receiver, Texas), among others.

Nike EVP of Global Sports Marketing Ann Miller explained what drives the brand's decision-making on new signings.

"Nike's football roster has always been defined by the athletes who are shaping where the game goes next," Miller said, per Nike Newsroom. "These signings reflect our commitment to serving the best football talent at every level with the support, innovation and partnership they need to reach their full potential on the field and away from the game."

Moore and Oregon teammate Dakorien Moore were already part of Nike's world before this. The two fronted the brand's "Grateful Ducks" campaign back in October, built around Oregon's tie-dye uniform and a limited-edition Air Max 90 drop. This week just made it official.

The initiative aims to support athletes in optimizing their on-field performance while simultaneously developing their personal brands and off-field careers.

On3 places Moore's NIL valuation north of $5 million, making him the top earner at Oregon and one of the twelve highest-paid players in all of college football. He already has brand deals with Beats by Dre, DoorDash, Raising Cane's, Factor Meals, T-Mobile, CVS and eBay.

He also runs his own merchandise shop and has published a children's book called "From Journey to Dreams." For a 21-year-old college quarterback, that's an off-field operation most professionals don't build until years into their NFL careers.

As a Nike NIL partner, Moore now sits on the same roster as six active Super Bowl champions, 19 All-Pros, 28 Pro Bowl players and legends like Jerry Rice and Barry Sanders.

First full season as starter. 71.8 percent completion. 3,565 yards. Thirty touchdowns. First-team All-Big Ten. Ducks went 13-2 and made the College Football Playoff. That is what Moore put together in 2025.

Dante Moore returns behind an experienced roster built to compete for a national title

Oregon has one of the most experienced wide receiver rooms heading into 2026. Dakorien Moore and Evan Stewart, back from an injury, give Moore two legitimate weapons on the outside, per Sports Illustrated.

The offensive line returns experienced players, which matters more than almost anything else for a quarterback's development. Analyst Phil Steele ranked Moore second on his preseason Heisman list behind Texas's Arch Manning.

Oregon opens September 5 against Boise State at Autzen Stadium. The schedule gets serious in November with a road trip to Ohio State on November 7 and a regular-season finale against Washington.

Do you think Dante Moore can win the Heisman Trophy and lead Oregon to a national championship in 2026? Let us know in the comments.
