C'Mon: Carson Beck's Sister Makes Feelings Known After Cardinals NFL Draft Decision
Once a five-star recruit coming out of Mandarin High School in Florida, the Miami Hurricanes quarterback, Carson Beck, will leave the Florida sunshine. The Arizona Cardinals called his name in the third round as the 65th overall pick. What did Beck’s supporter, his sister, Kylie, have to say about it?
She was one of the first ones to show her brother some love and immediately took to social media and posted a story.
“CMON CARDINALS!! (black heart and red heart emoji),” wrote Kylie, resharing the NFL on FOX’s post celebrating Carson’s NFL success.
Kylie and Carson have a close bond. Both of them started their college careers at the University of Georgia. Carson spent five seasons with the Georgia Bulldogs, winning two national titles. His sister, Kylie, was a cheerleader and part of the dance team at Georgia.
Carson was viewed as a potential first-round pick entering his senior season. But in January 2025, he decided to transfer to the Miami Hurricanes. Kylie was in support of his decision.
“Go be great!! [green heart and orange heart emoji],” she wrote. “I guess we can say it’s all about the U!!”
In Miami, the quarterback led the Hurricanes to the Natty stage. Kylie was even in attendance to cheer her brother on the big day. But Carson and the Hurricanes lost out to the Indiana Hoosiers.
But Kylie now wants her brother to focus on the next big chapter. Holding a record of 11,000 plus yards and 88 touchdowns, Carson joins the Cardinals.
Quarterback Situation in Arizona as Carson Beck Enters the Cardinals
Arizona is heading in a new direction this fall, after hiring the former Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator, Mike LaFleur. They are also moving on from Kyler Murray, who was their starting quarterback for seven seasons.
This leaves a vacant spot in the quarterback room. Ty Simpson was projected to be drafted by Arizona. But the Los Angeles Rams drafted him at 13, which changed those plans, leading the Cardinals to the next tier, where they selected Carson.
But in Arizona, he joins veteran quarterbacks Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew II. Meanwhile, the Cardinals' general manager, Monti Ossenfort, is not naming a starting quarterback, but Carson’s addition brings competition to the room. However, the quarterback has promised to push himself.
"For me, I haven't even stepped in the facility yet," Carson said. "Look, my approach to this entire thing is being myself, being the best player I can possibly be, and try to take advantage of every single opportunity I am given."
The Cardinals plan to establish the run to create play-action opportunities, an approach that suits Carson well. His strength in rhythm and timing makes him a natural fit for LaFleur's offense. However, his reduced arm strength post-injury could be an issue on deep throws.
