Lane Kiffin's Hot Yoga Habit He Refused to Break on Road Games

Despite the changes in his life, hot yoga has been a constant for LSU head coach Lane Kiffin. This habit is not just a pre-game, bonding exercise in Kiffin’s regime. It is a fundamental in his personal life, too.

“The newly hired Tigers coach attended a high-temperature session at Yoglates Studio shortly after arriving in Louisiana, documenting the workout on social media. Starting Day 1 off right with a hot and sweaty workout,” the Sporting News reported in December 2025.

Kiffin brought his habits to LSU after he left Ole Miss late in the season. Hot yoga was “mandatory” in his daily routine even when the Ole Miss Rebels were on the road. Reports suggested that he and Ole Miss coaches had made it a pregame exercise.

“I have some routines and some things in life that I’ve made non-negotiable,” Kiffin said. “It doesn’t matter if you are sick or tired or what it is. There’s things in my personal life, or eating, whatever it is, that are non-negotiables. One of them is that. That’s been a couple years now on the road,” a report by Clarion-Ledger read in November 2025.

Kiffin's move to LSU followed a high-profile exit from Ole Miss and a record-breaking $91 million contract. While he has much to prove this year, Kiffin has found a place among the best coaches already.

Where Does Lane Kiffin Stand On The CBS's Ranking?

On May 27, Tom Fornelli of CBS weighed in on Power Four coaches and ranked the Top 25 of this season. Lane Kiffin, LSU Tigers head coach, is one of the best.

Slotted at No. 9, Kiffin rose in ranks as he was No. 12 last season, leading the Ole Miss Rebels. This season, he came in as the fourth best among SEC coaches following Georgia's Kirby Smart, Texas' Steve Sarkisian, and Alabama's Kalen DeBoer.

"[Kiffin] left a program that he had in the playoffs for one he believes gives him a better chance to win a national title," Fornelli wrote. "That means he'd better do it (and soon), or he could suffer the same fate as the LSU coach who we had ranked in the top 10 at this time last year, too."

Kiffin will return to Oxford on September 19 for an away game. The much-anticipated Week 3 matchup between the Rebels and the Tigers could require a lot of yoga for Kiffin.
