Michigan Chases WR Salesi Moa’s Blood Relative to Bolster Its 2028 Class
The Michigan Wolverines have extended a scholarship offer to Dennis Tua'one, a wide receiver prospect from Timpview High School in Utah, currently in the 2028 recruiting class.
Even though his recruiting class has two more years left, Michigan is already making him a top priority. But along with being a great player, there’s another reason behind picking him.
Brice Marich, an insider at CBS Sports, posted on his X account, “Top100 WR Dennis Tua'one (@Dennis_2a1) 'fired up' landing #Michigan offer and even has a strong tie to the program in his close cousin, freshman WR Salesi Moa (@salesimoa8) (VIP).”
Tua’one’s cousin brother, Salesi Moa, is currently a freshman wide receiver for the Wolverines. Moa joined the team in early 2026, and having a family member already in Ann Arbor gives Michigan a huge advantage.
On the other hand, Tua’one is fired up about the offer because he admired the culture and energy the coaches are building. He is impressed with how the program develops players into stars.
What Makes Dennis Tua’one A Great Athlete For The Michigan
Dennis Tua'one is more than just a talented football player; his athletic profile stands out among 2028 prospects. Standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 185 pounds, he has the ideal size for a top-tier wide receiver.
Tua’one has recorded a personal-best time of 10.89 seconds in the 100-meter dash, last year at Utah UHSAA State Championships.
Tua'one also displayed versatility during the 2025 season. During the 2025 season, he showed off his skills by playing quarterback for his Timpview High School team.
He completed 56 passes for 872 yards and four touchdowns. He was also a weapon on the ground, rushing 58 times for 223 yards and scoring five rushing touchdowns.
His career statistics are just as impressive as his physical traits. In his first two seasons of varsity football, he has already caught 57 passes for a total of 1,012 yards. Combined with his rushing efforts, he has accounted for nine total touchdowns so far.
The production has established him as a top prospect in the 2028 cycle.
