Michigan Football’s Ultimate NFL Offensive Starting Lineup Ft. Tom Brady

Michigan has sent some of the greatest players in NFL history to the league. Hall-of-Famers, Super Bowl champions, MVPs and more. Charles Post of SB Nation put together the all-time NFL starting lineup of former Wolverines, and the names speak for themselves.

Quarterback: Tom Brady

There is no debate at the top. Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. Seven Super Bowl rings, five-time Super Bowl MVP, holding the all-time NFL regular-season records with 89,214 passing yards and 649 touchdowns.

He was a backup with the Michigan Wolverines before taking over and competing for the starting job every single year. That is what made him who he is today.

Running Back: Tyrone Wheatley

Tyrone Wheatley is the one. Ten seasons in the NFL, 4,962 rushing yards, 47 touchdowns. His best years came with the Oakland Raiders in 1999 and 2000, and no Michigan back before or since has matched what he did at that level.

Wide Receivers: Amani Toomer, Anthony Carter, Nico Collins

Toomer is still the Giants' all-time receiving leader. 9,497 yards and 54 touchdowns, plus a Super Bowl ring in 2008. Carter went to three straight Pro Bowls between 1987 and 1989. Collins is still active and still putting up Pro Bowl numbers back-to-back in Houston.

Tight End: Jim Mandich

Mandich was the original Michigan tight end. All-American in 1969, then two Super Bowl rings with the Miami Dolphins in 1972 and 1973. He finished with 1,406 yards and 23 touchdowns and started something that Michigan tight ends are still living off today.

Offensive Line: Steve Hutchinson, Tom Mack, Dan Dierdorf, Mike Kenn, Jake Long

Three Hall-of-Famers anchor this unit. Hutchinson made seven Pro Bowls and five All-Pro teams. Mack made 11 Pro Bowls and never missed a game in 13 years. Dierdorf won the NFL Offensive Lineman of the Year three straight times from 1976 to 1978. Kenn and Long combined for nine Pro Bowls.

Defensive Line: Brandon Graham, Aidan Hutchinson, Frank Clark, LaMarr Woodley

Graham leads all Michigan alumni with 79.5 career sacks and won two Super Bowls with Philadelphia. Hutchinson already has 43 sacks in 56 games and two Pro Bowl appearances. Clark and Woodley combined for three Super Bowl titles and 24.5 playoff sacks.

Defensive Backs: Charles Woodson, Ty Law, Dwight Hicks, Rick Volk

Woodson is the crown jewel. Eight-time All-Pro, Defensive Player of the Year in 2009 and a Super Bowl champion in 2011. Law is a Hall-of-Famer with three Super Bowls. Hicks and Volk added three more Super Bowls between them.

Special Teams: Desmond Howard, Jay Feely

Howard won the Heisman at Michigan and the Super Bowl MVP with Green Bay in 1996. He posted 244 all-purpose yards, including a game-sealing 99-yard touchdown return to lead the Packers to glory.

Jay Feely made 332 field goals in the NFL. Nobody from Michigan has ever kicked more.

Do you think this is the greatest all-time NFL lineup any college program could put together? Let us know in the comments.
