The Michigan Wolverines have set their sights on a new quarterback. This time around, it's the son of Mark Campbell in Case Campbell. Case's father, Mark, won a national championship with Michigan back in 1997. As Michigan has already offered their alum's son, the 2029 quarterback, too, had a lot to tell about the program.

Speaking to the Maize n Brew Case, had nothing but positive words for Michigan and its staff as reported on July 7.

"It's awesome," said Case. "There’s plenty more to come. But that coaching staff over there is super duper cool, I love that coaching staff. I recently went to the Chad Tough event with Tammy and Jason Carr, the Carr family. I saw coach [Jason] Beck and coach Koy [Detmer], and they were awesome. It was like my family."

Case was apparently named among the seven quarterbacks in the class on Rivals’ Midwest Regional Watch List as reported by the same Maize n Brew report. The others are St. Louis (Mo.) Parkway West's Braden Biermann, Saline's Lincoln Sellers, among others.

According to On3, the 2029 quarterback prospect is listed at 6-foot-3 and 191 pounds. Michigan offered him a scholarship on April 23, 2026. Other than the Wolverines, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers, too, have offered him.

After all, he carries the legacy of his father, who played as a tight end in Michigan, showing up for 46 games. He also made 339 receiving yards and 39 touchdowns in his career.

Decades after his father's Michigan journey ended, he is still impressed by the present Michigan staff, who have already shown interest in him.

Case also shares a close bond with the Carr family. Lloyd Carr's grandkids are Tommy and CJ Carr. Case attends the same school as Michigan's freshman quarterback Tommy Carr, and the two are close.

Meanwhile, turns out Case isn't the only one with the Michigan connection getting a scholarship for the 2029 batch.

Michigan football offers another former alumnus' ward a scholarship.

Mario Manningham's touchdown reception against the Penn State Nittany Lions in 2005 is still remembered by the hardcore Michigan fanbase. Now it's his son's (Mario Jr) turn to replicate the same magic.

Mario Manningham Jr. posted on X on June 17 that he received an offer from the program following a strong showing at camp. According to 247 Sports, he walked away earning his first Division 1 scholarship. The 5-foot-9, 160-pound athlete was among the many standouts.

Manningham Sr. had a legendary career with the Wolverines. He made 137 passes for 2,310 yards. He even notched up  72 receptions for 1,174 yards as a junior before getting swooped up by the New York Giants. The same club he won the Super Bowl championship with in 2011.

Prospects in the 2029 class, like Case Campbell and Manningham Sr., are just completing their freshman year of high school. They will commit between their sophomore and junior years.
