Pack Him Up: Ex-LSU WR & Rapper Toosii Trolled Over Terrible Ball Security
Nau'Jour Grainger, better known by his stage name Toosii, has decided to call it quits with LSU. The wide receiver leaves after spending less than three months under head coach Lane Kiffin.
Toosii posted a behind-the-scenes video of himself training inside LSU's facilities, and football fans wasted no time in trolling his technique apart.
The biggest issue was his ball-carrying. Instead of keeping it tucked tight against his body, he was holding it loosely away from his chest, making it an easy strip target.
Toosii has already built a successful music career, but the training clip quickly became the focus after fans began dissecting his football technique. He started his music career in 2017.
While the training clip circulated online, fans focused less on Toosii's athleticism and more on his ball-carrying technique.
That led to a wave of reactions questioning his technique after news of his departure surfaced.
Fans React To Toosii's Departure And Viral Training Clip
After Lane Kiffin announced Toosii's leaving the program, the fans trolled the musician and his ball technique on SportsCenter NEXT's Instagram post.
One fan dismissed the entire effort as a publicity stunt, "Pack him up it was definitely a stunt," said the fan.
The fan believes Toosi's attempt at football was nothing more than a publicity stunt. His music has streamed more than 250 million times on Spotify.
"Good look at that ball security," another fan said, mocking Toosii's technique in the viral clip.
Fans even saw it coming beforehand, and that was evident from the comments.
"We knew this was coming," said another
With the videos of him circulating where he fumbles the ball, many felt this was evident. It gave them the impression that Toosii wasn't serious about the game.
"Bro ain’t get no PT… time to come back to yo music !!! I NEED A ALBUM TOOSII !!," came another comment
Fans now want to see him back to what he does best, and that is his music career. Toosii's last album, "JADED," came out in 2024, and it had songs featuring Gunna, Kehlani, and Muni Long.
"Should've just went to Sac State," suggested a fan
A fan advised that maybe committing to a smaller program like Sacramento State would have helped. LSU plays in one of the toughest conferences in college football.
Now everything is said and done, and Toosii too has decided to put a stop to his football career. With more than four million followers on both TikTok and Instagram, his focus will now be on the Grammys and not the national football championship.
