What happens if two greats of the sports world are pitted against one another? Can the two, Tom Brady and Cristiano Ronaldo, in this case, be even compared? Emanuel Accho has an answer. 

“The more exciting player is Cristiano Ronaldo, obviously,” Accho stated on June 24. “I mean, as it pertains to athleticism in soccer, superhuman speed, superhuman vertical leap, especially back when he was in his prime. Superhuman strength, right-footed, left-footed, free kick, penalty kicks. Cristiano Ronaldo was an absolute specimen. That is what makes him so exciting. Two goals today, he got it done…he supersedes that of Tom Brady.”

The host of the Speakeasy podcast, Accho, the former NFL linebacker, was weighing in on which athlete is more exciting to watch. He was heard campaigning for Ronaldo in an X post captioned “Cristiano Ronaldo is WAYYY more exciting than Tom Brady.” 

Accho raved about Ronaldo’s athleticism in his take against Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion. His physicality is unlike any other.

Ronaldo's body fat percentage is estimated to be a low of seven per cent. He recorded a career high vertical leap in 2013 when his head reached 106 cm or 41.7 inches in the air.

The soccer player reigns as one of the most illustrious athletes globally. He is the winner of five Ballon d'Or awards and five FIFA Men’s Player of the Year honors.

The Portuguese player led his country to its first international tournament victories in his career, which spans 24 years. Brady, on the other hand, is the most celebrated quarterback who has defined the NFL. He built the New England Patriots dynasty, which lasted over two decades and saw six Super Bowl titles. 

Both players remain the standard to match in their field. However, NFL fans took offense to Accho’s take and shared their reaction online. 

Fans defend Tom Brady after he was compared to Ronaldo

After former Philadelphia Eagles player Emmanuel Accho campaigned behind Ronaldo, stating that watching him play is far more exciting than watching Tom Brady. That did not sit well with some fans who commented their opinion under the X post.

“Cristiano Ronaldo can’t do what Tom Brady did in the NFL,” one fan wrote. 

“Wasn’t acho saying c*** the last game?” one asked, referring to the comments he made about the soccer player after the Portugal vs Democratic Republic of the Congo on June 17.

“Comparing ronaldo to brady is crime ronaldo miles clear he should be on jail,” another replied. 

“It’s crazy having four people in the room but only two can have the conversation. Maybe shelve the topic like ESPN does with soccer and hockey, unless you have an expert joining the show lol,” another wrote, commenting on how little time others besides Accho got to speak. 

“Messi>>>>>>P****, MJ>>>lebron>>>Tom Brady,” a commentator wrote, ranking some formidable players across sports.
