Tom Brady dragged into outrageous Patriots Super Bowl speculation after Seahawks coach's comments

Tom Brady found himself at the center of fresh Patriots speculation after Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald revealed that someone with a "conflict of interest" helped his team prepare for Super Bowl LX.

"If this doesn't p*** you off as a Patriots fan," Portnoy wrote on X. "I am not going to say who they are saying gave a ton of advice to the Seahawks before the Super Bowl, but the guy has a statue in front of our stadium. What a joke."

Portnoy's post fueled speculation that Brady had helped the Seahawks prepare for the Super Bowl at New England's expense, despite Macdonald never identifying him.

Portnoy's speculation via X post was one among several of the fans' responses on social media, and it suggested that Patriots fans have every reason to be upset.

Macdonald never identified the individual during the interview. Later, he ruled out former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick when discussing who he had contacted before the game.

Brady's continued involvement in the NFL made him an easy target for speculation, even though no evidence linked him to Macdonald's comments.

He now serves as FOX Sports' lead NFL analyst while also holding a minority ownership stake in the Las Vegas Raiders.

As speculation continued to spread, Macdonald was later asked directly whether Brady was the person he had been referring to.

Shortly after the interview circulated, WEEI's Zach Gelb contacted Macdonald and asked whether Brady was the unnamed person.

"I reached out to Mike Macdonald to get clarification on his comments on the #dpshow," Gelb wrote on X.

Macdonald did not dodge the question either, and his reply gave Gelb the clarity he was looking for.

"I asked if #TomBrady was the person with the 'conflict of interest' that gave input to the Seahawks before the Super Bowl. Mike told me it wasn't Brady that he was talking about in the interview," Gelb added.

Macdonald later clarified that Brady was not the person he had been referring to, ending speculation linking the former Patriots quarterback to the story.

However, he still declined to identify who had actually helped Seattle prepare for the Super Bowl.

Who do you think was the mysterious person who helped the Seahawks win Super Bowl LX? Let us know in the comments.
