“Trump is your president”: White House crashes Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce’s wedding news

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce officially got married at Madison Square Garden on July 3. The White House couldn't let that moment pass without weighing in.

After MSG's outdoor screens lit up with "JUST&T MARRIED!" confirming the couple had tied the knot, the White House's official X account posted a photoshopped version of the same image with the text replaced.

The White House took the actual "JUST&T MARRIED!" billboard outside MSG and swapped the text out with "TRUMP IS YOUR PRESIDENT."

None of this came out of nowhere. Trump put out an AI image of Swift in 2024 that made her look like she was backing him for president. She went public and made clear she had nothing to do with it. His response? He posted "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT."

It didn't stop there. When Swift endorsed Kamala Harris, she specifically used J.D. Vance's "childless cat lady" dig to make her point. That one landed hard.

The night before the wedding, the White House had already started. They posted a Trump-heavy collage of American historical moments and called it "America's Eras Tour." A direct shot at Swift's concert branding.

However, Swift and Kelce were busy with their own preparations for the big day. Around 1,100 guests attended the ceremony at MSG, which was officiated by comedian Adam Sandler. Jason Kelce served as best man while Swift's brother Austin Swift was her man of honor.

The outdoor screens revealing the marriage served as the first public confirmation that Swift and Kelce had officially exchanged their vows. The White House was among the first accounts to respond, just not in the way the couple's fans were hoping for.

Swift and Trump’s history makes the White House post anything but surprising

Two elections, a pandemic, an Eras Tour and a Super Bowl. These two have been at it through all of it.

It didn't start in 2024 either. Back in 2020, Swift came out and said Trump was "stoking the fires of white supremacy," per The Hollywood Reporter. He then said her political stance meant she would "pay a price...in the marketplace."

They haven't been on good terms since. Swift has kept her head down this term mostly, but the White House clearly hasn't moved on.

Her endorsement of Harris, her response to the deepfake, and now a wedding watched by over a thousand guests on national holiday weekend, all paint a very clear picture of where things stand between the two sides.

What do you think about the White House's response to Taylor and Travis' wedding? Let us know in the comments.
