Vanderbilt OL Cade McConnell announces personal update less than 30 days after engagement

Cade McConnell has a new and exciting season to look forward to. Apart from that, he has a significant development in his personal life. The Vanderbilt Commodores offensive lineman is now married to Hannah Hotchkiss.

McConnell’s college teammate, Diego Pavia, shared two pictures from the wedding. In the first photo, the bride and groom are among friends, including the quarterback. In the second one, he is seen hanging out with his Commodores friends.

Offensive tackle Clinton Azubuike, running back Makhilyn Young, another offensive tackle Isaiah Glass, and comedian Theo Von were also in attendance.

On June 19, the Commodores celebrated their upcoming milestones, and their impending nuptials were one of them.

McConnell and Hotchkiss wasted no time tying the knot. Their engagement period lasted just over a month as the couple married on June 20 in Tennessee. The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were held on the same day at The Monroe on 415.

He is a 2026 Vanderbilt HOD Graduate. He is a student at Vanderbilt University Law School. Before he played for them, McConnell was part of the University of Minnesota from January 2022 to April 2024, according to his LinkedIn.

While he has set a pace in his personal life, McConnell has high hopes for what he wants to accomplish in his senior season.

Cade McConnell revealed he wants to win many laurels this season

Interior offensive lineman Cade McConnell did not take any snaps in Minnesota and ended in a depth role at Vanderbilt. However, he believes this season is his time.

“I think an All-Conference player, an All-SEC player, All-American, all those big tag words are at the forefront of my mind as well as winning 17 or 18 games,” McConnell told Vandy on Sports Illustrated. “Obviously being the best in my self standards is the goal.”

The 2025 season was McConnell’s best in his college career so far. He played 759 snaps was a consistent starter on offensive line coach Chris Klenakis’ line. On PFF, he was graded a 52.5 overall, a 55.9 in pass protection, and a 40.8 in the run game.

McConnell was the program’s second-highest graded offensive lineman last year, second to only center Jordan White. What are your thoughts on this journey?
