Wolverines Predicted To Land Double 4-Star Commits by Michigan Analyst
Michigan Wolverines are doing exceptionally well in the recruiting process this year. They are picking up top commits with ease, and now on their radar are two top commits, Tyson Robinson and Tavares Harrington.
NFL analyst Isaiah Hole recently gave his take on the matter on the Locked On Wolverines podcast.
"Tyson Robinson, who makes his pledge on Saturday. I think what's interesting [is that] he is kind of in some degrees like a tweener because he's ranked really high by ESPN, 114th, and then Rivals and 24/7, they have him as 4 stars but don't even give him a place ranking."
Hole mentioned that Robinson is from Mississippi, a state the Wolverines had been unable to recruit from since Jeremy Lassour.
He is a guy that Tony Alford has really put a premium on... that's the exact type of guy that you want to get, given that you already have Savion Hiter in this last class," said Hole.
The talented Brandon High School player is among the top 150 recruits nationally. Robinson is considered a high‑level prospect with strong upside.

Michigan’s offensive coordinator and WR coach Tony Alford has made Robinson a priority target. This makes it quite clear that the staff values his skill set highly.
Harrington is another player being looked at as a big catch. At 6’3” and 180 pounds, he is considered one of the best safeties in the Midwest.
"Then Tavares Harrington, teammate of Quinton Burrell. SAFETY four-star. Consensus top 200 player. Kind of like the same idea as the last two guys we were talking about, Quinton Burrell and Xavier Muhammad. These are big gets," said Hole.
Naturally, he has some big suitors lining up for him as well. Teams like Alabama, Michigan, Notre Dame, Auburn, and Ole Miss are all interested.
Hole emphasized the quality of four-star players this year, observing that if Harrington commits to Michigan, it would raise the Wolverines' rank to 11, with a 207.9 rating.
One of Hole's predictions came true after all as Robinson committed to Michigan.
Tyson Robinson Joins Michigan Wolverines
Tyson Robinson finally made his decision to join the Wolverines officially. The four-star running back preferred Michigan over Alabama and Tennessee. Even other programs like Texas and Oregon were after him. Yet it was Kyle Whittingham's team that got his vote.
Robinson is one of the top running backs in the 2027 cycle. Standing at 5-foot-10 and weighing 201 pounds, he is known for bringing production. As a sophomore in 2024, he recorded 1,295 rushing yards and 34 touchdowns. He also added 668 receiving yards on 42 catches.
In his junior year, he suffered a hamstring tear. But he didn't allow it to stop him. Despite missing out on four games, he finished with 1,050 rushing yards and 295 receiving yards.
Michigan RB coach Tony Alford is being deemed instrumental in Robinson's commitment. Tyson's two spring visits to Ann Arbor ultimately sealed the deal. Although he did visit other colleges, it seems his decision was made.
With this, the Wolverines' 2027 class now stands at 11 commitments. This also pushes up their rankings to No. 12 nationally and No. 5 in the Big Ten.
